Here, the river isn’t just liquid, it’s tiny droplets thicken the air with swirling mist and spray from the force of the torrent. The river becomes the air we breathe, the water we drink, the tears we cry. It absorbs into our skin and becomes us in a single moment, two apparently separate things merging into one. What was the river is now me, and what was me is now partly river. And that force that smooths stone, that carves earth, that carries our dreams, lives in us too if we are touched by the river. So we stand in awe and reverence as the power of the water cascades past us, carrying with it the origin of all life on earth.
